Hi all

Im just being curious here, whats the actual difference between CCE 2.50 and 2.64?
For one, the safe mode in DVD2SVCD has to be activated if any newer versions than CCE 2.5 are used- and CCE 2.5 is recommended from most people. Is this because of its stability or are quality matters involved?

I just removed CCE 2.5 from my system since it kept on crashing during the encoding. Strangely enough, this only happened for PAL DVDs so far...

I'm personally fairly new to cce, but I cant seem to get 2.64 to frame serve with tmpgenc...maybe thats why?

Murdock0815: The quality is the same. CCE2.64 is slower than 2.50 as you'll have to use the safe mode, I think that's the main reason why the older version is recommended.

ByronE: If you want to frameserve, use VirtualDub or Avisynth. CCE (and TMPGEnc) is meant for enconding, _not_ frameserving... maybe that's why you can't frameserve with it;)
