Correct MPEG2 capture from DVB?

Hi all,

when capturing from a DVB source, I usually get some errors in the streamed MPEG2 file. Does anybody have experience on how to correct the errors?

I could get a .d2v project and .mpa audio successfully (using DVD2AVI). But when trying to convert to DivX5 or Huffyuv the process crashed. I tried AviSynth and VFAPI.

Don't capture to MPEG2 directly. Capture with the cards native PVA-format and demux the stream afterwards with PVAStrumento http://www.offeryn.de/
I too get glitches in the stream now and then, that's normal, but I've had no problems converting them to DivX (DVD2AVI/Nandub) when using the above method.

you can also use pvastrumento to correct your mpeg-2 files.

Thank you, I corrected the MPEG2 file using PVAStrumento. For some reason AviSynth still crashed, but VFAPI worked fine.

I'll try if recording to PVA works better.
