I received the video card yesterday and begin installing it to my system and realized that the card does not have a inputs for audio.
How does one capture TV without audio?
Here is the setup I am running :
Cable source > SVHS VCR > Asus Deluxe
Will I need to purchase an RCA to mini-jack adapter so I can get audio from the VCR to the sound card?
When I had the Radeon 8500DV it came with a breakout box. Does Asus provide such a breakout box for the Asus Deluxe cards?
Thanks, any help would be appreciated.

btw what is the latest Asus capture driver?
The one from the cd is Asus VfW Capture Drive 1.1 for Windows 2000
Edit :
Also, the max res. I can use in Virtual Dub is 704x480. Is a good res to use?

Use the Line in from your Soundcard :-) .
- drivers
Er, I use the 6.31 . The link from what I've downloaded is (it seams) dead... :-(
Oh, you use W2K, that's a different story. I only use Win98SE right now.
As for the res. I don't know. Someone from the NTSC countries should speak up.
Good night.

I am rather confused...
If I use Line-In from my sound card, where does the other end connect to?
Will I get stereo sound?
Edit
Here's a picture of the breakout box I was talking about. But this is for the V7100 Deluxe Combo :

just run both left and right rca audio cables from your vcr into this (http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&category%5Fname=CTLG%5F005%5F003%5F009%5F004&product%5Fid=274%2D369) , then connect the mini (1/8") jack into your sound card line in, or mic in,
it'll be stereo because the mini input jack has both l/r channels on the input post.
Btw, why did you switch from the ati card to the nvidia card?

I was having a rare memory issue where if my system runs 512MB or higher, it crashes, BSODs, etc.
Here is a long thread and my experiences with my 8500DV - LINK (http://www.hardforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=325534)
Thanks for the tip, btw. I'm getting sound now :D

if u want stereo sound be sure to run the sound to the "line in" or "auxillary in" on yer sound card - UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD U USE MIC FOR SOUND - THIS IS VERBOTEN!
i say this as it is most likely that your mic port will not support stereo sound - at least my vibra 128 doesn't
