...is it just me or is it somehow disabled? We had this problem in an older build already if I remember right...just wanted to report that bug! :D
If anyone experienced the opposite or wants to confirm...go ahead!

Are you sure?I think it was working fine for me....How can you tell its not workin? (might sound obvious but still :) ) Does the brightness control work ok? Can you see the decoder in the properties? Any info will help, as it is a very weird bug
Thanks for the feedback :)
Cheers,
-Nic
ps
I was using it last night on Time & Tide (as recommended by Maven :) ) & without deblocking at 640x it was awful but with it looked great :D

Well, i don't have any problems with the ds filter.
I tested with a trailer, both messing with the brightness control and deblocking (no deringing because here i have a p2) and everything looked has expected.

everything works okay for me too. :D
i'm using nic's "fastest ever" build from yesterday 3 o'clock.
@elbow: usual question ;):
was the old codec removed before the new one was installed? are you sure that fourcc is set to xvid?

I think im going to take out that "fastest ever" section, although at present it is the fastest....I don't ever want to make false claims (like the 17th build....)
It was working for me last night as I said, sometimes its best to restart the computer & then install XviD, because once xvid.ax gets loaded, it is hard to unload it & then copy over it.
Anyway, thanks for testing & we'll see what if the peep's elbow still is having problems.
Cheers,
-Nic
ps
unlike Maven, I dont recommend Time & Tide that much...its ok though ;)

Kill explorer process to unload xvid.ax from memory. that work for me on W2K system

- Yeah, same procedure as every year ;) I am the last guy on earth that wouldn't use the XviD fourcc :D
...I didn't really specifiy what I meant by writing "disabled"! Brightness works fine, but that's it. Deblocking and Deringing doesn't work! :( But maybe I should sometimes reboot my system, could fix it I guess, I'll report if it solves my prob!
- I have tested the three last builds of Nic, uManiac and Koepi:
Only the last ones DSF has post-processing (Koepi's!)! uManiacs doesn't even show the brightness-slider and the checkboxes!

problem still exists, seems to be the xvid.ax causing it! All 1703...builds work fine, 2003... .dll works well, either, but when I use the latest .ax I get unfiltered picture!
What did you change in the file? I recognized that it has become a bit bigger (160KB instead of 128KB).
Seems I'm the only one with this problem, but for now I'll just use the older .ax :D

I just downloaded Nic's latest build and the filter works fine here on WinXP. Brightness and all other options seem to function normal.

Well your having a very weird problem, Koepi's version is just a copy of mine, so thats very strange. Ill look into it tomorrow & release a new build & try fiddling with the installer, that might help

well the difference of 160 kb to 128 kb could be the compilation in debug mode instead of release mode: and the codec is more slow like that of course... to be checked or i say something stupid, so forget me...

Trust me...Im not going to have compiled it in debug mode....the difference's in size, come with different optimisations & different compilers.

I'm having the same problem, with Koepi's 1703 build every post-processing options work. With Nic's 1703 and 2003, only brightness works, the other options do nothing.

Stranger & stranger, im working on it :)
-Nic
ps
Ive been working on it,
I can recreate the problem, Koepi's version of the DShow filter is the 16th, & that does work fine in all cases, ill fix my source now & update soon....
pps
I know the problem & have fixed it, it was interesting memory one to do with the internal quant_store, Koepi's version will deblock correctly, but will screw up on high res (if you know it or not, weird effects could occur, i.e buffer overun) My version won't cause the high res problems, but didn't deblock properly.
The version I have now, works fine in all cases. Ill upload it soon. :) Thanks for all the feedback, as with alot of memory problems, some errors will occur, but not everybody would have got the same errors...So thanks again :)
