Hi,
applying the method given in the Q&A (Q41) to a two-sided DVD (Pretty W.) leads to a problem because in the resulting SVCDs, video and audio are out of sync in the second part of the film (offset of about 1-2 sec.) Can anybody give any hints how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance.

Another way you can do this is instead of ripping the 2 sides and then processing the combine VOBS, you could do one side has a regular process and the second side has a regular process also. Be sure to put the ending (change CD) image at the end of the last CD. This can be done if the second CD could fit in one CD. For example, Pearl Harbor has 2 hours of first CD and 1 hour on second. A perfect split for 3 CD encoding...
PROS: Simpler and you retain the DvD chapters of the second side/disc
CONS: Your not using the uptimum bitrate and the way the DVD splits is not always good for the number of CD`s you want to create.

When you go to rip the videos using internal routines check to see if the first or last chapter of either side has a 0 value. If it does uncheck it and continue like you did.
This seems to be happening more and more lately and is throwing many conversions off.
