I'm new to this so bear with me. I am a writer for hometheaterhifi.com we want to create a demo DVD for our use in evaluating systems. So I got a Pioneer A03 and Matrox RT2500 (for our other video feeds).

We want to take scenes from a few movies and splice them together. We don't want loose the Dolby Digital 5.1 sound while doing it.

I can cut the video clips together in Premiere after ripping the DVD's. I also ripped the Audio sections to .ac3 files.

But how do I cut and paste the ac3 streams together? Is this not possible?

Secondly once this is done how do I get the ac3 stream on the DVD, as SonicDVD supports 2 channel.

Lost in DVD nowhere...

Ok so with some emails from forum members:

1. Edit video in Premire
2. Demux ac3 into .wav
3. Use sound editing program to chop down clips
4. Re encode into Ac3 using Soft Encoder

Ok, but they don't make soft encoder anymore. Anything else? I'm a broke writer, I can't afford thousands just to encode to ac3.
