Blocks In Dark Areas

How do i stop getting those blocks on walls etc... when the camera
moves into a dark area?

I used a Temporal Smoother of two and it helps a bit.

there is almost no way to get rid of them in divx3 without upping the bitrate. A temporal smoother will help a little. A good spatial smoother will help a little. A clean DVD source will help a little. But blocking in flat color areas is just part of Divx. Try turning the contrast up a little when you play it back. That will help quite a bit in most cases.
