Hi,

I've encoded A Clockwork Orange with the Paddy's day build of XviD, and I have a strange problem on playback: when I resize the video window, the movie resizes to fit the window, but only until the next I-frame. Once an I-frame is reached, the movie reverts to its original size, but in the bottom-left of the player window.

If I then restore the player window to its original size, the movie zooms proportionally, staying in the bottom-left, until the next I-frame, when it reverts to its normal size.

Any ideas?

Sounds a bit like a problem of the player. Which one do you use?

WMP 6.4. Mind you, it's the same behaviour if I render it using Graphedit, or play it using the video player that came with my ATI AIW.

Still, this is mighty strange. I'll let -h know, in case he hasn't alread read this.

Heh I've got no idea - I doubt it's XviD's fault, since all we're doing is filling a requested buffer with image data.... and that's about it. All resizing/overlay scaling/etc. is handled elsewhere in the filter chain.

Cool, that's good enough for me.
