Can anyone tell me what I need to do once I rip a dvd to my HD in order to get it in the mpeg2 format so I can use Robshots method for fitting 2 movies on one dvd? Or can I just use the VOB files in present form. I tried loading all the VOBs into DVD2AVI, but the output .d2v file is only 588Kb, so I know I must have done something wrong. Please help, I know I can do the method once I have the movie in mpeg2 form

It's perfectly explained at Robshot's www page.

And 588kb file is nothing bad or wrong. That's exactly the size it should be. It's not converting vobs into an avi. It's just making a project you can later use for framserving.

Thanks Aleksander. I am just confused because on Robshot's page, he starts with a complete mpeg2 file and I wasnt sure if I could use the VOBs or not.

Ive gotten farther along in the method, but when I try to make the ECL file with CCE 2.5, I get "Couldn't find appropriate codec for "VIFP" when I finish the steps and click to encode. Any ideas on what I need to change to make this baby fly?

I am just quessing here, 'cause I don't know what is this VIFP, but looks to me like you have not installed Vfapi correctly. Try to install it once again and see if it helps...
