TMPG bitrate calculation problem

Hi,

I'm using TMPG for converting divx to SVCD.

With some avi-Files I have the problem that the output m2v-File is much to big.
I calculated the bitrate with FitCD. The file size should be about 1.4GB but I receive a file which has about 3.5GB.
I tried other calculators but the bitrate is correct.

I'm using 2pass VBR encoding with 300kbit min. and 2536kbit max. bitrate.

Can anyone help me solving my problem ?
