I need a bit of advice. I seem to be having the same problem as everyone else, but with a SONY CD-RW that does not support overburning. (!!??$%**)

SVCD - Disc #1 - 824,937 KB - Burnt image fine.
Disc #2 - 826,455 KB - Nero says it's too big.

problems - when i check the total disc space of a 80min CDR in Nero it gives me a figure of 79.57.74, but the Disc #2 Image was actually only 79.57.42 !

So, nero doesn't even let me do that. But it did let me burn the image from Disc #1 which was 79.48.56

Anyway, I'm not exactly sure, but since my SONY won't overburn, can I change the bitrate slightly to get smaller images ??

I haven't had time to experiment with this, and would appreciate some help.

Cheers - Mike

you can do the following: use dvtool (have a look at doom9 download page) to truncate the bbmpeg*01.mpg file to a new file slightly smaller than it already is. After this, use crash recovery to restart DVD2SVCD from svcd authoring. The second image will be slightly smaller now.

Why don't you try one of the other pieces of CDR software like VCDEasy that is in the DVD2SVCD FAQ.
I personally don't like Nero and never use it for SVCD's.
