Hi, I am new here. I have tons of mpegs, on my pc, of various things, is it possible to put them on a CD-R and play it in my DVD player in my living-room? How is it done, and what is it called?

Not every dvd player can play vcds or svcds, and those that can may not be able to use every cd-r or cd-rw (different lasers). Check your dvd player in the database at www.vcdhelp.com to see if it's doable before investing time and energy in encoding (s)vcds from mpegs.
