Do Divx BR Calculators take resolution into count?

Hello,
dont know if i sound stupid or s/thing but when calculating the final BR and file size using a BR calculator, does it take into count the final output size of the movie? Does anyone know what size movie it is recommending the BR for? are there ne calculators that give option to input your output size of the movie? Thank you.:)

well.. if your making a vcd or svcd your stuck with resolution.. so i'll assume you mean some form of avi (if your referring to xvcd or xsvcd only use resolution higher than default (704x480 for example) with about 2000 kbps bare minimum avg bitrate.

for avi .. i recommend gordian knot (available in the downloads) its bitrate calculator figures out how much bitrate per pixel so you know if you should try a lower or higher resolution based on the amount of cd space it will get
