i'm ripping a 1cd movie. the vob has 2 english ac3 streams:

Stream[002] X=[[0x80] Audio English AC3(6Ch) 48kHz ] [] [] [] []
Stream[005] X=[[0x83] Audio English AC3(2Ch) 48kHz ] [] [] [] []

wich one should i choose for mp3 audio in the movie?

thx in advance.

Judging by your questions I see you haven't read the forum rules or any of the nice guides that were written.

Have a look and then post.

Turn on your DVD Player's file mode, and load each stream. Listen to them both, then choose which one you want to use.

thx for the reply but that's not the answer i'm looking for though ;)

let me refraze my question, i have 2 streams (2 english) a 6ch one and a 2 ch one.

Stream[002] X=[[0x80] Audio English AC3(6Ch) 48kHz ] [] [] [] []
Stream[005] X=[[0x83] Audio English AC3(2Ch) 48kHz ] [] [] [] []

if i want to encode them into a mp3, i should set AZID whit this option: -z1 -b1 -c normal -L 3db (as discribed in the tutorial)
but if i use the 2ch stream there are no chanels that have to be downmixed as there already are just 2ch in the stream so wont it be better to use the 2ch stream to convert to mp3 and what would my AZID command be then?

thx in advance.

Either ac3 file can use the same command string.

The stream with the (2ch) is mostly with regisseur comments.
only for your information.

If your just planning on listening to the final target with stereo then IMO it doesn't matter which AC3 you use. If I'm looking to playback a file on my surround system I usually downmix the 5.1 AC3 but that's just me. I suggest just doing a sample for a listening test and then decide which sounds best to your ears.

EDIT- If you need the command line then just use the BeSweet GUI and it will display the line as you change your downmix options. Personally, I always encode my audio before using Gknot and then have Gknot mux the audio without doing any of the encoding.
