LIGHTNING UK!

Hi,
You probably know me...or at least you will know what I do if you look over to the left, just below my name.
I never do any encoding, but I just wanted to take a look at Gordian Knot yesterday to try and work out why it is exactly that you say its so very very important that people do not use anything but SmartRipper or vStrip for ripping. I cant think of any reason what so ever as to why they couldnt use DVD Decrypter or whatever ripper they choose. The programs used within Gordian Knot are no different from the original ones that can be downloaded from Doom9's site, and they work just fine, no matter what you throw at them input wise.
The way you put it in the help file makes it seem as though the world will self destruct if another ripper is used....both you and I know that isnt the case.
DVD Decrypter can be used in every situation within Gordian Knot as it can outside of it. It doesnt handle Seamless branching titles all that well and I'll be the first to admit that, but other than that...I think it is probably the most reliable one out there.
With the latest version (3.0.0.14), I have, amongst other things, greatly improved the 'Multi Angle Processing' feature - the angle you want to keep can now be chosen within the settings. I hope this will make it more suitable for those 'difficult to rip' dvds.
I should very much like to see my program in there on your 'Ripping' page some time soon...perhaps we could even work out some command line switches so that you could automate the ripping process? Its already got a couple...they're just not documented ;)
