OH ya. Flame all you want about warez and shit like that, Last time I checked its illeagle to copy DVD's or converting um to mpg/divx and seeing how thats what this sites about I dont want to hear it!!!!

actually.. backup is legal in my countries.. if it's a backup.
as soon as you don't own the DVD it's illegal in any case. But you can perfectly make a DivX copy for the road or an SVCD to give to your kids (so they don't scratch the DVD and you have to buy another one) in many countries. So far it's only illegal to circumvent CSS in the US and the last word on that hasn't been spoken yet.

ya, your right!!! But lets face it, most(not all) arent using it for the reassons you mentioned.

Although I thought it was illeagle due to the fact that DeCSS is used to rip/copy/back-up and there-by defeats the 'copyright' protection of a DVD.
