How to get the 23.976 framerate ?

In Gordian Knot I set the framerate every time to 23.976, but the final .avi always has 25 fps. What am I doing wrong here ?

Is it really a NTSC disk? If you're in Belgium then its propably PAL and it should be 25..?..

NTSC DVDs are 29.97fps. PAL DVDs are 25fps. One gets NTSC 23.976fps when using an Inverse Telecine (IVTC) process, such as Force FILM in DVD2AVI frameserving, or an IVTC filter.

It are PAL movies, but I thought it's better to convert the framerate to 23.976 to get a better quality (less frames). I thought this because all the great rips from 'professional' ripping groups have a 23.976 framerate.
