Although Doom9's site covers fixing audio displacement, I have not seen any information about fixing stretched audio. I have therefore consulted Nicky's Digital Solutions (http://nickyguides.digital-digest.com/audio-synch.htm)instead. I have a movie where the audio is in synch at the beginning but progressively gets worse. It also has a video error, but that doesn't seem to be the source of the problem as the audio goes out of synch way before the video error. I tried the procedure recommended using the terabits softare and the cooledit 2000 v1.1 I found that at two different locations at the end of the movie, I get a different stretch value. I used both values on two separate tries, and neither try worked. My aud/vid is still out of synch at the end. Anyone have any suggestions or can someone explain why at the end of the movie I got two different stretch values according to the method described on Nicky's page (http://nickyguides.digital-digest.com/audio-synch.htm)

Thanks

Would I be that far off base if I were to guess you encoded your video with Flask or Xmpeg? Flask has a history of sync isses not to mention all the bugs that exist.

A quick browse and I found the guide your looking for- http://www.doom9.org/virtualdub_procedures.htm#mansynch

If you are using Flask then I'd advise you check out the Divx guides here using Gknot, it will save you alot of time in the long run.
