I used winrar 2.80 and had those errors but the pdf is good.
PDF is 8,712KB and 257 pages long.

This paticular PDF is great to view locally on your computer. However if one wishes to print out hardcopies the best is one massive html zipped file of all the guides. Someone wanna do this? Reason this pdf can't print is cuz a guide is only ONE PAGE and it's impossible (as far as I could tell) to print one PDF page on to multiple pages.

This is a good idea if one would take the time to create an 11 x 8.5 pages instead of 11 x 66 or whatever.

there's one thing here.. the files don't contain that yet.. but public redistribution of these documents is strictly prohibited and a copyright notice will have to be put in place as well.
the guides haven't just become public domain..

doom9 is right...we are not allowed to zip of the html guides and redistrubute. I'll abide by his wishes.

Hi,

I don't know why and how the discussion turns its direction like this. My question is very simple:

I want to see the contents of the guide. I never mention about redistribution and I have NO interest to do so.

As I noticed that a guide in pdf version was listed, so I went there and downloaded it. When I tried to unzip it, I encountered problem.

With latest version of winrar, I still can't unzip it.

May I take a quick poll and ask people why would you want to download the guides in pdf format for?

Myself I thought I could print them out but it's impossible to do so due to the page parameters 66 inches long, etc. Is it for the anti-alias viewing of the text which windows xp has built-in? I'm lost.

It took me five minutes to capture the guides in Adobe 5.0 Web Capture in 8.5 x 11 and a few in 11 x 8.5. Each guide is not on a single pdf page but on multiple ones so it's easy to print.

Personally if I was getting it to have for an offline archive just to view then I'd prefer html since you can control the text size easier and images are always sized at 100%. Just use a free one called HTTrack Website Copier 3 (http://www.httrack.com) takes only about 5 - 15 minutes or so.

@d121 did you verify that your rars downloaded are intact with sfvchecker?
