Has anyone been able to get GKnot to work with WINDOWS XP?

Everytime I create a .d2v project and subsequently open it in GKnot, I get "Error: Not a valid .d2v file (YUV 4:2...)"!

I have had no success with GKnot on Windows Millenium or Windows XP.
The program seems to create some kinda instability in the O.S. and after initial successes becomes unstable and unusable.

Any suggestions would be great.

It's not the OS. My GK has worked on anything from 95 to 2k and now XP flawlessly since the first release.

Are you using DVD2AVI 1.76? And are you setting the color space to YUV?

I have installed v.21 and the update v.23 of GKnot. I assume it comes with DVD2AVI.

I made another pass last night under XP and it locked up on me. I have two hard drives and wonder if maybe there is some kind of hardware incompatibility for the processes involved in the GKnot processes. But I am not a software engineer, so I couldn't tell you. Maybe my version was corrupted in the download and I just need to redownload it. I don't know.

Thanks for the reply.
