that compress less , i want somthing aroudn 2:0:1

buest i can with huffyuc is 2:9:1

if u can bare with lossy compression, i'd suggest mjpeg (i use picvideo's)
it has excellent performance (i.e. 640x480 @25fps @35% cpu on duron 800)

the compression factor is configurable (max quality=20, but i use 17 with excellent results)

plus, it's easily editable (=only i-frames).

dosent mjpeg compress more?

i want somthin that will make my avis higher qualuty before i send them for encoding

since huffy is lossless it doesn't matter if it's 2.9:1 or 2:1, you won't gain quality (no loss is no loss, however you try to put it).

Did I miss something here or ...?

Isn't huffyuv a loseless compression.
What would you gain by going to 2:1 ratio ?
If you insist why don't you go for uncompressed frames then?

If there is nothing lost there is nothing to be gained. HuffYUV is lossless therefore there is nothing to gain by switching.

huffy compress the size only, i.e. it DOESN'T reduce the video quality. just like zip or rar or ace or any other file compression (in contrast to video compression).

is this a troll???????????
