When you select the output format Ogg Vorbis, the file extension is .wav, not .ogg.
Of course, renaming the transcoded file to *.ogg works.
Thank you DSPguru & DanniDin for your great work.

i'm sure DD will fix it in no-time :D.

Ok :D
Let's clear that "Label4" in the Azid.exe Tab too! ;)

Can anyone confirm running b22 or higher on WinXP for me? I've never had problems with the GUI until recently...now VB errors are appearing:confused:

@MaTTeR:
No VB problems here on WinXP, but i rember something about msvbvm60.dll...
check your version, i once had problems with wrong dll version.

My DLL should be fine. Version 6.0.92.37 is being used which works fine on beta15.

@Charlieds
Already Fixed the Bugs You Reported. I'll Post it Tomorrow :)
@MaTTeR
I'm Using VB 5.0 So Maybe You Should Check the VB 5.0 Runtimes ;)
Haven't Installed XP Yet So I Can't Test it...

@ DD: Great. :)
@ MaTTeR: VB 5.0 = msvbvm50.dll, try checking that .dll also.
P.S: Nice thread: me, 2 developers & a mod.
Love this place. :D

VB5 dll file version is 05.02.8244 (SP2) and located in the system32 directory as it should be. Last night I also tried 5.00.3724 but still the ame problem. Something had to change between beta15 and higher, this is the first time in maybe over a year that I've VB issues with the GUI:scared:

What Error Do You Get?
I'm Almost Sure that the Problem is with the Code that Makes the Different GUI Forms "Follow" the Main Form. I Didn't Use it in b15.
I Can Disable it if You Want But then You'll See 2 Seperate Forms On the Screen When You Move the GUI.

@DanniDin
Thx for the response. The error is-
Bad Filename or number
runtime error 52
Guess what? I found a temporary workaround. I first have to go to either the Lame1 or Azid button and then select one of the open buttons there. Those buttons open the dialog without issue, now I can go back to the BeSweet button and they are fine as well.
Now onto the next problem:) The GUI claims it's not be able to find my output folder if my target is selected as Ogg Vorbis. It's still displays saving the target as WAV. Maybe Ogg Vorbis isn't implemented in this version yet? Maybe I should RTFM:D

@MaTTeR
Maybe it's Fixed in b27. Please Check it When it's Online.
Can't Access My Home Page Via Ftp.
If it Won't Work for You then Let Me Know :)

Beta34 isn't running on my system.
VB Runtime Error 9
Subscript out of range:(
This happens when I launch the application.

23rd March 2002, 21:29
When I try to open the GUI's for anything greater than 29b I get:
Run-time error '9':
Subscript out of range
What's the problem here?
This is the first major problem I've had with the GUI.
DSPguru

please download the old gui (http://dspguru.notrace.dk/oldgui.zip) and report the version # the problem starts.
SSJ4_Gojita

Says the correct version numbers, beta 32 for the beta 32 file and beta 33 for the beta 33 file.
MaTTeR
23rd March 2002, 21:39
Neither 32,33 or 35 work for me. All display error 9 on launch.
28 did work though.
DSPguru
23rd March 2002, 21:41
so beta30 (BeSweetGUI0.6b30.zip) was the last one to work without this #9 error ?
SSJ4_Gojita
23rd March 2002, 21:41
Yeah, none of the betas beyond 29 work for me either, it says the correct version on the titlebar though. I get the same error for any 30 beta
DSPguru
23rd March 2002, 21:43
please explain when exactly do you "meet" the bug ?
(did i mention that beta34 works fine here ?)
SSJ4_Gojita
23rd March 2002, 21:46
It comes up as soon as I enter the GUI, the GUI doesn't have all the text or buttons it should on it, all that seems sorta complete is the command line box, it has line numbers, but nothing else. Beta 30 said beta 29 in the title, but it didn't work, same error.

i'm only guessing here, but try to delete the following key from your registry :
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DanniDin\AzidLame GUI"
btw -
i'm not the GUI author, so i don't have access to the source-code, i can only try to help us focus on the problem. at the end, it will be fixed by DanniDin.
DSPguru
