Is it possible to take an AVI file that has Mp3 or OGG Audio built into it and make play as a WAV.

The reason for this is... I have found an MS Dos based player that seems to work well only it plays WAV audio.

Help would be greatly appreciated!

Likely it wants PCM WAV. True you can have an MP3 or Vorbis with a RIFF WAV headder. But the decoder still has to be able to handle it. And unless it says so it is likely not.

CDeX will quickly and easily create RIFF WAV headder MP3. And with the Vorbis ACM it is possible to do the same with Vorbis. But I do not think that this will help you.

I am trying to make a DivX (TV Top) player with an old desktop computer. I found MS Dos DivX player and I figured that if I put a computer together that it would be the same as a DVD player

Any Ideas on finding different DOS players??

Also I found a Linux one but I don't know how to do anything in Linux... Any Ideas?

Does the DOS player not handle audio or is that the program you are reffering to that only handles WAV audio?

The player only handles wav and Mp3... But I thought that it wasn't handling the new mp3.. But it ends up the problem is that I don't have the right DOS drivers for my SB.
