View Full Version : Using smart ripper, next step IFOedit or not?

I am using smart ripper in the movie mode to extract just the main title and one spoken language (English). I created the video_ts folder and all of that. Just being curious I dragged the folder that houses the video_ts folder as well as the audio_ts folder and power DVD started playing the movie, just the movie, just as I instructed smart ripper to do. So my question is do I have to even edit the IFO or not? If so why did dragging and dropping the video_ts folder right onto power DVD did it starts playing the movie? Also I was wondering if I could use the IFO edit image button to package the DVD for burning on my Mac’s super drive (transferring over Ethernet).

Thanks in advance for some badly needed clarification,
-Nick

I am not much help because I have been using DVD Decryptor. I was trying to use Smart ripper at first, but I found the IfoEdit guide here at Doom9 was easier for me to understand. If you cant get it to work try following the Doom9 guide, and it does use IfoEdit.
