besweet produces double speed output

i try to convert a mpa file (128kbit,48kHz) to wav or mp3 but besweets output file is played at double speed (and the filesize is only halve as big as it should be).

anybody knows why ?

the source mpa is probably mono mpa.

the file is shown as stereo during playback, but i dont know if this means anything. its a dvb capture from a very old movie so its maybe mono.
so lets say its mono, is it possible to convert it with besweet ? cant find any special settings for such a file.
