about the speed of source and binaire

hi everyone. Could you explain me something because i'm a little lost: I have download the binairy on cvs, compiled it, and install the xvid codec. well i was at 12-13fps. great quality. Now, i have remove it, download the 15032002 codec from koepi, and install it: I was at 30 fps, great quality. I must say that i did use the exact same option for both. Could you explain me ? Thanks a lot for all.

well there are a lot of optimization options if you use Visual C++, i suppose this goes for other compilers as well. this might give quite a difference.

well, i know the bug i made. I was compiling in debug mode instead of release! Then, it was more slow..... thanks anyway again for all your help, fox.
