AVI2SVCD Help Needed

Hey, I've just tryed turning a one disc DVD rip in AVI format into a SVCD by useing DVD2SVCD. Under the Misc option. But useing one pass VBR or multipass if fails at the .mpv as soon as it starts. Running it thru CBR it works but the whole screen is green.

Anyone know another way I can turn this AVI into a SVCD ?
