The script to call some VirtualDub filters from Avisynth (from LabDV) is a bit outdated. From time to time new scripts are posted on this forum. I want to collect them into a new script and I need your help for doing that. I listed all VDub-filters which are already collected in the LabDV-script and I also added a list of VDub-filters which I like to see rewritten in Avisynth. Of course I also invite you to add other scripts from nice VDub-filters that people use.

filters already contained in "vdfilters.avs" by the people of LabDV:

Temporal Cleaner, by Jim Casaburi
Colorize, by Donald Graft
Hue/Saturation/Intensity, by Donald Graft
Red/Green/Blue Adjustment, by Donald Graft
Smart Bob, by Donald Graft
Logo, by Donald Graft
Smart Deinterlace, by Donald Graft
Smart Smoother, by Donald Graft
Unsharp Mask, by Donald Graft
Subtitler, by Avery Lee
Border Smear, by Simon Walters
Logoaway, by Krzysztof Wojdon

Do all the scripts of the filters above work? Do people have better versions of the scripts (above) of LabDV?

I added several new ones gathered from the forum:

2D Cleaner optk7/optp3, by Jim Casaburi and Jaan Kalda
Xsharpen, by Donald Graft
WarpSharp, by Avery Lee and Donald Graft
Dynamic noise reduction, by Steven Don and Donald Graft

I'm sure I forgot some ...

to do:

Antiflicker by Donald Graft
(see http://sauron.mordor.net/dgraft/)
Smart Resize filter by Donald Graft
Fader by David Roden
(see http://unidivx.dyndns.org/software/fader.php)

and all other nice VDub-filters ...

I found the "Smart Resize filter by Donald Graft" on the german website: "http://members.s2u.org/hobby/mb1svcd/dv.htm"

The "Fader filter by David Roden" doesn't work properly, at least not on my "avi 704x576 PAL compressed with an asus-codec". Instead of fading gradually it faded with vertical black/grey lines through it and the audio was out of synchro. I will mail him soon about this.

Which other filter should I include ?

Don't know about the filters which where in the old package "vdfilters.avs". But I think that all the new filters only work in RGB-space.

Donald Graft is currently converting some of these (and other) filters to work directly in YUV-space.

See "http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?threadid=20677"
under the thread name "Hue/Sat/Bright/Cont filter now available" in this forum.
