Instead of a lot of gui's to extract a dvd and re-encode it to mpeg2 (to burn a SVCD)I used one of these new one button appz. In this case it was Dup DVD.
I asked it to create an image and whatt I got was a bin file (about 622.xxx.xxx bytes) which amounts to 1 cd why it should have been 3 cd's)?
And what's more it's without a cue, so how do I exctract the mpeg from it or burn a bin without a cue?

Any advice will be appreceated.

If you are using the trial version of Dup_DVD it states that it will only copy 1/4 of the movie, until you upgrade to the paid version.

I attempted the same yesterday, but could not get the program to write the image file to my DVD-RW, let it running overnight and nothing was recorded this morning. Did your burn work?, evn if it was short.

No, i use a licensed version. I also tried to burn and that worked. Broke up the process after 1 cd. But when i rip my own dvd it's to send to friends and not to waste cdrom's on.
This is the very useful answer i got from Dupdvd support:
Are you using trial version?
Or please try another movie.!!!!
So I thinks it's back to SmartRip, FlaskMpeg and Nero.
