Hope someone can help me. When I play DivX-Files, after a short time the system hangs. I get a blue screen with driver_irql_not_less_or_equal or the system reboots itself. The weird thing is, it only happens with some DivX-Files, others work just fine. I tried different players (RadLight, The Playa, Win Media Player, PowerDVD), nothing works. This happens under WinXP, Win2k and Win98SE.
System is a notebook Sony Vaio PCG-FX501, Amd Duron 1 GHz, 256 MB RAM.

So, please (pretty, pretty please) does anyone have an idea how to help?

driver_irql_not_less_or_equal

This indicates an interrupt conflict, most likely between the graphics and the sound chip. Look into system properties, device manager. Search for shared Interrupts. Try to set one of the offending devices to another ( free ) interrupt. Also look for new drivers on the sony site.
