Hello,
I have just tried DVD2SVCD 1.0.7 b4 on the R2-version of Planet of the apes. DVD2SVCD is set to use the german audiostream as the first stream on the SVCD.
The CD has the following audiostreams:
1. English AC3
2. Deutsch SDDS
3. Deutsch AC3
4. English AC3 2ch (directors comments)
5. English AC3 2ch
DVD2SVCD automatically chose the second track and it started ripping just fine; however, it was unable to process the SDDS-stream.
I have manually switched stream 3 to Audio stream 1, and the transcoding of the audiodata is just running at this moment, it seems to work just fine (like every other transcode that I have tried with this fine program).
However, I think that the program should skip streams that it can not decode. Or is the decoding of SDDS generally possible and has just failed because of some oddities in the DVDs coding?
Again, thank you for this fine program. I was at first more geared towards the monolithic DVDx, but DVD2SVCD offers far more options and produces binaries with a better compatibility than DVDx/Nero.
Bye,
Detlev
