Hi,

I'm experiencing problems with joining 2 xvid avis. Usually I encode credits separately at fixed quant value and then join it with main movie (ii is encoded with 2 pass internal, h.263) using virtualdub. Virtualdub complains that it can't join because of different stream formats (or something similar, I'm not on home computer so I cant check that now).
So what I did. I opened both .avi's in hex editor and copied data from one file from addresses 00h - 110h to the same addresses in the second file. And now I can join them.

Interesting is that, if I modify main movie 1stpass curve in GKnot, and tehn encode with 2 pass external, I can join without problem.

I use latest Koepi XviD build (12/03/2002).

Hi Evaldas,

I think nobody felt like answering, because this question has been posed so many times before. Could you do me a favour and investigate whether we've forgotten to answer it in the guide/FAQ? Anyway, the answer is, in problematic cases use the 'concatenate'- function of AviUtl (avi-operation >> concatenate).

Greetings

Anyway, from what you describe, the bug seem to come from VirtualDub not XviD. So you might submit this but to the VDub SourceForge site.
