MJPEG vs. MPEG1 Encoders

Can anyone point to a comparison chart or tell me with his/her experience which way will give the best results to encode a DVD to VCD?

MJPEG (Motion JPEG) encoders like PIC Video/Main Concept MJPEG encoder

OR

Pansonic MPEG / CCE MPEG Encoder

Well, unfortunately MJPEG has nothing to do with VCDs or DVD, since MPEG is the only format allowed for these, so the chart is a little non sense I think...
