Hi there.

I'm not a pro in DVD backup. I just did one to try out.
All worked fine. Now I reinstalled that machine for some reason and tried again.
I installed DivX 4.12 codec and used XMPEG 4.31a plus DVD mism.
Since it was a fresh install, I couldn't find any mp3 audio encoding option under XMPEG.
Tried installing winamp (I thought it might install as well mp3 codec). Didn't work.
Tried installing lame from http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Audio/lame-3.91.zip. I didn't know how to register the dll into windows. Didn't work.
Tried installing lamewin32.exe from an other site hoping it would register some dll. Didn't work.
I still had only fraunhofer for decoding only and no other mp3 codec.
Finally I saw the light... :-) Installed DivX 3.11a and then 4.12 again.
I got my codec.

QUESTION: How could I install any mp3 codec WITHOUT installing DivX 3.11a?

QUESTION: On an other PC I have the professional codec/decodec version of fraunhofer. Which program installs it? Can I rip it from one pc to the other?

Thanks,

Sorry for begging, but I can't find it...

in http://www.doom9.org/software.htm there is no radium codec.

Could you kindly write me the URL?

thanks,

Just make sure to click Full Listing... It's there - in the Audio Tools section...
