I've ripped some Hong Kong anime DVDs and want to turn the gibberish that passes for English subtitles into something readable, then burn it back to DVD.
I know how to extract the existing subtitles and turn them into text files, but most of the other utilities I've looked at seem to be for making SVCDs or AVIs with subs.
What do I need in order to convert a text script back into a format that can be reintroduced into the video? Do I have to use a full-bore DVD authoring package for that, or is there another alternative?
Thanks,
