View Full Version : Images too big for CD-Rz!!!

I am having a big problem.....when it creates the cd images it makes them 763 megs....of course this will not fit on a normal 80min cd.....i have also told it to use the 74 min cds and it still makes the images the same size......it has done this twice.....18 hours of ripping each time for nothing!!!! please help....i dont know what else to do....i have tweeked all i can!

Ok...
First - read forum rules.
Second - this belongs to dvd2svcd (my guess) so you should start with reading the newbies FAQ (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8127).
Third - I will answer your question - if you're creating vcd / svcd your image can be as big as 800MB (or over) and you still will be able to burn it onto a 700MB (80 minutes) cd.
Nothing to worry about!

Well i have tried Nero and Fireburner and it says to insert a disk with enough space on it...im useing the 80 min cds....and i have read the dvd2svcd guide and it doesnt say anything special about how to burn them.....are there any special settings? Thanks for your help i will go read what you suggested right now....

Just enable overburning in the options and do not worry - ignore this message. If you will select your image file in Nero it will take care of it. Raed the FAQ I have given you in the previous post. You can also use CDRWin for image - burning.
ps. I will delete the other post since you seem to hit New Thread instead of Reply - they are pretty close together...

I feel like such a moron.....im sorry for wasting your time....all the information was there i just didnt read/see it.....i got it to work with the daemon tools....worked flawlessly.....and thank you for deleting my mistake ( the new thread )
I just wish it didnt take 18 hours to complete the rip....and that is on a 2pass vbr and normal audio.....but hey....the result is awesome....thanks again for your help
