HELP newcomer

at the moment i am using dvdx i have sucsefully ripped my dvd to my hardrive only to find i cant burn it because it is one big file could anybody tell me how to split it up as i am new to this game by the way i am trying to make a svcd using nero

The best place to start is read the guides over at www.doom9.org
Read up first and try to learn a little on your own before asking someone to walk you through it. I can pretty much assure you nobody will since the guides already do it.

You can't simply rip a file off the DVD and then burn it on a CD. That just doesn't happen. You need to convert it first and it can take a long time to do it.

This is the forum for a software program called DVD2SVCD if you want to use it. Again read the guides over at Doom9 then come back when you have a little idea of what you are trying to do.
