Trying to use Avi2SVCD but prog won't run. It keeps coming up with Error Messages saying this program is missing, that program is missing. It's ridiculous. How do I get hold of an earlier build that works?!

It works GREAT! and this goes in the Advanced Topics forum...
by the way... 1.0.7 build 4 is just an update.
try checking out the thread for 1.0.7 build 4 and click on DVD2SVCD homepage link.

How about calming down and actually reading the Q + A. It is there for a reason.
Q51: I have installed DVD2SVCD, but I keep getting errors that programs cannot be found.
A: Make sure you have installed a full bundled version and not just an upgrade to a full version. Full versions usually are greater then 5mb in size. Upgrades are much smaller. Sometimes only upgrades to a build are released. In this case download the latest full bundle and the latest upgrade, install the full bundle and then install the upgrade over the bundle without uninstalling the full bundle first. Upgrades are cumulative, meaning that there is no need to download every upgrade to get to the level you want, just get the latest one.

Yeah I guess it's not an advanced topic but I've already done what is stated in the Q&A you quoted. I tried about 3 times, even after uninstalling d2s in Control Panel. It still wouldn't work. Guess I'll just wait for next full update

I just installed 107 build 1, build 3 update, and build 4 update. AS soon as I enter an avi file, prog says bbmpeg folder is empty. So I give an output folder for bbmpeg, then it says vcdimager doesn't exist so I direct the prog to the default location of vcdimager. Then the message says the output folder for vcdimager is empty, so I point to the default output folder. It is now processing. I never had to do all these extra tasks before but oh well....

I have never heard of this happening before. It might be something only on happening on your system.
I have installed it many times without issue. I tend to re-do my OS on average every 3-4 months, but I recently swapped out hardware twice and did it both times. I have to reinstall everything each time and never had this issue.

This happened to me the first time I installed. The EXE file....or shortcut you are launching the program with is not in the install directory....Open C>Program Files>DVD2SVCD And run the program from there.

It's true that the shortcut I use to start the program is not in the d2v folder. It is in a separate folder. The program is in d:movies\dvd2svcd with related apps under this folder.
