hello,

i try to mux : mpeg-2 video(.mpv) with layer-2(.mp2) and with subtitles riped with SubRip 0.97 in I-Author mode, like written in one of the guides on this site, and I-Author crashes right after it has finished scanning the audio frames.

I need to mux those subs and the audio to the main Mpeg-2 file.

can someone help me with that ?

10x.

Does it crash, or does it display an error message like '1st time over'.

If the latter, there are two approaches, either of which might resolve it:
- lower the total bitrate (either by re-encoding the audio or the video at a lower bitrate)
- remove the earliest subtitles (I think officially you can't have any subtitles in the first 4 seconds, but I've seen people report they had to remove as much as 14 seconds to get things to mux).

If the former, there are so many possibilities, it may be really hard to resolve. The only things I can suggest are the normal - uninstall and reinstall iAuthor, try it on a different machine, etc.

.. that the total bitrate is around 9.9Mbit/s, i press OK and it starts to scan the video and audio frames.

when the scanning completed, and it tries to move on - is crashes.

i got the "send error reprt to Microsoft" box.

here are some details about the error -

"MUX MFC Application has encountered a problem and needs to close."

"Error signature

AppName: mux.exe AppVer: 2.3.6.3 ModName: mux.exe
ModeVer: 2.3.6.3 Offset: 00005483
"

it crashes every time.
I re-installed twice - didn't change.
