I'm trying to convert a Divx AVI file that I have into SVCD in CCE. The AVI file is 480x576 @ 25fps.

I convert to MPEG2 with CBR at 2400kbps, then multiplex the video and audio streams with TMPGEnc.

When I try to load the file into Nero, it complains that with the error 'stream encoding which is invalid for a [Super] Video-CD'.

When I encode the same file in TMPGEnc, it works fine.

Any ideas what is wrong?

It appears that you have not done the multiplexing correctly. You must select the SVCD multiplexuing profile; I have multiplexed video streams done with CCE with TMPGEnc and Nero did not complained.

But I usually prefer BBMPEG to multiplex; give it a try.

Use BB edit to multi, and VCDeasy to burn.

Yeah, I think it's the multiplexing that is stuffing up rather than CCE itself .. I'll give bbmpeg a shot
