I'm trying to rip audio using DVD2Avi, with the end result being a wave file. But all i seem to get is an AC3 file.
How can i rip the audio and end up with a WAV file? Or i think it was called, 2Channel or something....
Please help, it's doing my head in! Lol. Thanks. :)

Someone please correct me if I'm making an a$$ of myself but I don't think this is possible with DVD2AVI directly from the VOBs. ;)
If you are ripping directly from the VOBs then most likely .ac3 is all that is available. No problem for us though...just use HeadAc3he or Azid to convert to wav.

I think elgan123 is correct. I've yet see a version of D2A that rips the audio to WAV. Take the WAV file then transcode it to Ogg Vorbis or MP3 using BeSweet or HeadAC3he.

Oops, sorry about that MaTTeR. In the end i decided to scrap the whole idea of doing everything seperately.
I used DVD2SVCD instead and all seems to be well, it's making my *.bin files as i speak so hopefully all will be well. :)
In relation to the original question, i was reading a guide at the VCD Help site which pointed it out in one of it's diagrams. But it's cool, i just followed the Doom9 DVD2SVCD guide instead. :)
Thanks again.

I believe it is in fact very easy to get a .wav with DVD2AVI.
Just tick "decode" instead of "demux" and you should end up with a wav file instead of an ac3 file.
To be sure I searched for the DVD2AVI readme, and quote a few lines here:
[Dolby Digital]
[Demux] rips out the specific Dolby Digital (AC-3) raw stream (.ac3)
[Demux All Tracks] rips out all Dolby Digital raw streams inside the program stream.
[Decode] decodes the specific Dolby Digital raw stream to PCM waveform (.wav)

Just burnt the *.bin files from DVD2SVCD and everything works fine now. I burnt them with FantomCD after burning 2 corrupted CD's with Fireburner. Tried CDRWin too but it gave me problems with the disks too. Luckily FantomCD worked fine.
I think in future i'll just stick with DVD2SVCD. :)
