:(
o.k. well i've just finished ripping a dvd with dvd2svcd, and it's been encoded with cce so i have 4 files 2 .bin + 2.cue, now i've tried to copy them so they will play on my dvd player 2 times the first times i put all the files into the burn process with cdrwin which error'd and didn't complete, the second time i just placed the 1 .cue file and tried to burn it which finished, then when i tried to play the disc on my dvd and it said unsupported format and wouldn't run what am i doing wrong now??? please can someone help before i end up waisting all of my cd-r's.!!

all i want to do is make a dvd playable cd-r to copywhatever files so then after burning i can play them on a dvd player not a pc,

i've been looking around doom9, vcdhelp, and all sorts of other sites for hours but i'm either missing something along the way nobody has any info on what to do pleeeaase help.

Hi diamondlill,

hmm, seems your serial number is some kind of wrong for CDRWin then. You know these guys of CDRWin have a funny sense of humor - they don't tell you the serial is wrong or bad - CDRWin just burns digital garbage to CD-R producing a nice pile of coasters for you. ;)

Have a look in DVD2SVCD forum at this thread:

Greetings,
Gerti

P.S. You want to play them on your standalone DVD player right? - If not - PowerDVD 3.0 does not support SVCDs - you have to use WinDVD 3.x or PowerDVD 4.x for this.

Well i did as told to download the daemon software, and also the latest version of powerdvdxp4, but have tried to open the .cue files to play on this to check first but nothing happens it will not load to the power dvd the only files i can get to work on it are the .ifo files what next ????

Hmmm,

you have to mount the *.cue file to the Daemon-Tools by left clicking on the tray icon of the tools after having started them. Then choose "Device 0: [X] No media" entry from popup menu and choose the first *.cue file in the opening window.

Now, the *.cue file is mounted to a virtual drive. Now open PowerDVD and hit the "Select Source" button (the one with the drive icon on it or hit CTRL-O). Then choose the drive from the popup menu that is your virtual Daemon-Tools drive and PowerDVD should start to play.

You can use Nero to do a disk-to-disk copy with the *.cue file mounted to the Daemon-Tools.

try using VCDEasy to burn your bin/cue files.it works every time.
just make sure to have "svcd"checked.

Hi diamondlill,

sorry to say that but it seems that your standalone is not capable of playing SVCDs then. :(

Have a look at this website to see if your standalone supports SVCDs:

http://www.vcdhelp.com

See the compability list for your model and then look at the user comments.

Hi dimaondlill,

have a look at the Doom9 - DVD and miniDVD Guides then to get an idea on how to do it.
