Currently I’m using DVD2SVCD to convert the DV-files into SVCD complaint MPG-files and TSCV to author the SVCD-disk. I also want convert these DV-files into DVD compliant MPG-files and store these on my HD until I have bought a DVD-writer. (They must be getting cheaper and I want to wait until it’s clear who won the battle DVD+RW or DVD-RW  .)

I want to make sure the MPG-files I have created can be used in DVD-authoring software without recompression of video and audio so I need someone’s advice whether my following steps are correct:

Encoding Video:
Encoding video using the steps as Doom9 described in his guide “Getting the best out of CCE”. I have done this step already and I must say the results are very good.

Encoding Audio:
Using Besweet to convert the audio part of my AVI to an MPEG Layer II format at 192 Kbits and 48 kHz sampling rate. Or is there a rather simple tool to create AAC-compliant audio files?

Multiplexing Video & audio:
Multiplex the audio file and video file using BBMpeg?

Who can tell me if the above described steps are correct????
