Welcome to Doom9's forum!

Good question -- where to start. The answer will depend on what you want to do with the content you've ripped.

You might want to create a "miniDVD" -- aka a CD-R or CD-RW with DVD-format files in it that can be played on some standalone DVD players.

You might want to create a VCD or SVCD -- a CD-R or CD-RW that can be played on standalone VCD player, or some standalone DVD players.

You might want to create an AVI -- a compressed file that can be played on a PC.

There are other choices, as well.

Where to start? I recommend that you click on www.doom9.org.

On the left, you'll see a list with News, Old News, The Guides, and the like.

Click down near the bottom on DVD Basics. Doom9 has two guides in this section, on the structure and content of DVDs, and on aspect ratios.

Then, going back to www.doom9.org, click on The Guides. Note that in these guides -- just like in the forum -- links are in brown. These links are either links to more information, or they are links to downloadable software.

Read. Experiment. Make mistakes. Learn.

Also, be sure to read the forum rules (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm). They're at the top of every page.

Good luck!

Hi, I have looked throw the files you suggested and I am getting very lost, It says on the min DVD that thi is not to be attempted by newbies. As mentioned before I have all the cue/bin files and I have some mpegs and a folder with subtitles. I would like to make the DVD so you can play on a computer and a DVD player.

It seems that you have made a SVCD - to watch it on a standalone and pc you have burn your .bin files onto a cd-r or cd-rw. To do this you can use CDRWin, FireBurner or Nero (enable overburning). Remember that you can record as much as 740 MB on a 650MB (74 minutes) cd or 800MB on a 700MB (80 minutes) cd.
For tips how to burn these files look here:
