I have found problems with CCE 2.50.
When using VBR, sometimes actual bitrate goes lower than minimum that is set. This makes problems with some standalone DVD players (Pioneer 444, 535), other players work OK (Philips DVD 710). When bitrate goes too low (sometimes even 180 kbps) Pioneer stops playing smoothly and "jumps" begin. How to avoid CCE encoding below minimum bitrate that is set?
I have proved, that even if you set 1000 kbps as minimum, in some scenes (black screen with some writings) you obtain bitrate below 300 kbps.
TMPGEnc makes it better - if you check "padding stream if necessary" everything goes smoothly, but the image quality obtained using TMPGEnc is lower and encoding lasts longer.
I use patched CCE 2.50.0.1
What suggestions?
