hi,
where can i cut a divx5 in two parts, without probs.
does it matter where the end of first part is, because of bidirectional encoding, which frames are needed fo bframes?
Is cutting before a keyframe enough?

i mean is this method taking care of b-frames?
is cutting a divx5 file with b-frames possible between keyframes as the frames need info from the next frames, as far as i understood bidirectional encoding it is so.

doom9's guide is good but a bit "outdated" with DivX5..
see this thread for a similar problem :

the DivX/virtuadub combo seems to have a problem with the sequencing of keyframes, with or without the use of B-frames. This is an odd behavior and will make your file splitting a bit difficult.
is this a bug with divx5? dunno... maybe it's a feature :)
