Hi phuntyme,

have you already tried a crash recovery from the "SVCD Authoring" step? - Make sure you have enough space left on the hard-disk.

Do you have a XML file in your directory also? - Why not posting the "dvd2svcd_log.txt" file - can't be false.

Greetings,
Gerti

Hi phuntyme,

not to step on your toes but what do you think this (multiple) message from the "dvd2svcd_log.txt" file tries to tell you:

WARNING! You seem to be using "Norton Unerase Protection" and
you want to delete the temporary files created by dvd2svcd.
This can cause DVD2SVCD problems. Even though DVD2SVCD deletes
the temporary files, Norton doesn't, therefore DVD2SVCD
might run into diskspace problems. I suggest that you stop the
"Norton Unerase Protection" Service. So please stop this "Norton Unerase" service and try it again with crash recovery. In addition it is not good to use special characters in any of your output paths of DVD2SVCD like the "&" in your case.

Greetings,
Gerti

Hi, I noted that message when I first started to play with DVD2SVCD again. What I have done is 1st started to monitor disk space available, 2nd disabled norton unerase protection on that drive (F:).

I did get into trouble once before with the disk space and norton's stuff but after I disabled it for drive F: I re did the DVD with no problems.

So it looks like the funny characters then, eh? is there a way I can edit the necessary files to remove the "&" so I can do a crash recovery.

Hi again,

OK, then here we go:

1. rename the folder to "F:\Conversion" or something similar
2. make a copy of "dvd2svcd project file.d2s" first
2. open "dvd2svcd project file.d2s" with notepad
3. change all file pathes you find to "F:\Conversion" in it
