dvd region

I have a matshita cdrwdvd drive and i have many dvds from different regions and i would like to watch them all on my pc. i have win dvd and media player to watch dvds but i have only 1 region change until it is permanent. I have downloaded drive region info which told me that my drive is region protected. and i have also downloaded dvd genie which should be able to reset the region counter on win dvd but it could not
can anyone help me on this one or is it a long shot ?

Try this site and look for a firmware to your dvd.

If there is one that has no region lock, then you will have to update the firmaware of your dvd drive.
Beware that there is always the risk that you can damage your dvd drive.
