Hi, ppl.......iŽm new with XVID....and i usually, when worked with divx4 used divxauto4.0b for batch encoding at night........
Does anyone knows if there is an equivalent program to work with xvid??
Thanks a lot.

Nope, there isn't. (Except for VDub's batch processing).

Hi, thanks for your quick answer........
Its a shame that, because i use mpeg2avi to left the computer at night, doing, sometimes, 3 movies.......
I saw at the divx5 forums, that the same problem hapend with it, but someone said that it is possible to put the values in the registry...
The bat file that this person use is this
rem DivXCodec
reg add HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DivXNetworks\DivX4Windows /v "VBR Mode" /t REG_DWORD /d 2 /f
reg add HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DivXNetworks\DivX4Windows /v "Bitrate" /t REG_DWORD /d %bitrate% /f
........etc etc........i hope you get the idea.....
i wonder if this could be possible too here....but i lack of knowledge to probe it....can anyone test it???
Thanks.

Editing the registry is possible with XviD - all its configuration settings are stored in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\GNU\XviD . However I'll have to check the code to see when we're actually reading the registry settings..
I'm surprised no one's created a little app to automate it actually, though I suppose the registry keys have been (and will be) changing quite a bit.

actually, divxauto author was hanging around in the xvid forum some time ago, and wanted to make a version which supports xvid. the answer he got was that it's developing too fast, and the options chande every day (as they do), and he can just change the registry settings.
as far as i remember, there was no further discussion on this issue, he might be waiting for a stable (;) ) release...
cheers
