I read most of the thread regarding virtual memory and settings. I'm a bit nervous about adjusting the settings by myself. Need some advice.
Here's my Hardware P3,800mgz,256ram,ati AIW radeon, I use win98se.
Problem discription:
I capture with virtual dub, no problem all great.
I edit with premiere 5.1 when I want to export video to vcr, slowing effect as if my pc slow downs when reading the file. Sometimes it's okay up to half way in a 4 min video.
I've been suggested to tweak the virtual memory, optimize v cache, etc.
What would be the settings with my pc you suggest. How would you set the values in the vcache , some say set it up for gamers with same min and max other say a low and a Hi.
in the virtual memory they suggest to put the same min and a max Or just to set a min and leave the max open.
My Question:
What should be my settings for my pc. All I want is edit video, no games on it.
I would really appreciate some guidance.
